Dry Christmas Rose florets

Hydrangea macrophylla (Afrikaans: Krismisroos) produces big rounded flower heads that are actually clusters of small florets. The colour (blue to pink) depends on the soil's pH. These photos are close-up captures of individual florets taken after the flower heads have dried in their own time. Click on the images to view them in full.
