Autumn (2012)

Image
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower,” Albert Camus. Paarl is surrounded by vineyards. There is a variety of wine grapes and table grapes. When autumn arrives the district turns into a collage of yellow and red. A closer take was worthwhile. Tropical fruit

Although these fruits come from two different continents and look very different they taste quite similar.  Someone wrote, "dragon fruit tastes like a cross between kiwi and pears". Kiwi (native to China) and Dragon fruit (native to Southern Mexico and Central America): Click on the images to view them in full.  SHARE this page OR share the blog's link: https://ndt-photoblog.blogspot.com/  FOLLOW this blog through the subscription widget on the sidebar.  [Click on the "3 lines" on the top left of the home page to open the sidebar.]

Fruit

I am privileged to live in a region where different fruits grow. Healthy food! - and sometimes opportunities to practice my hobby. Passion fruit and Pomegranate:   Click on the images to view them in full.  SHARE this page OR share the blog's link: https://ndt-photoblog.blogspot.com/  FOLLOW this blog through the subscription widget on the sidebar.  [Click on the "3 lines" on the top left of the home page to open the sidebar.]

Sunset - Sunrise

Image
The setting sun marks the end of the day.  It is often the most colourful moment of the day.  Are we enchanted by these colours of the "dying day" because we know that the sun will rise again? The two sunset photos are followed by a sunrise photo. Maybe there is some metaphor here for Good Friday and Easter Sunday?
